Ballroom Dancing in the Library!

Fifth grade's library time is being used for our artist residency through the wonderful Dancing with Class program, and we were fortunate enough to have teaching artist Amanda Lopez-Betanzos as our Teaching Artist.  It was my pleasure to assist in coaching and host practices in the library on Monday and Friday afternoons.  Merengue was the favorite!  Students enjoyed performing at the heritage assembly and a select group knocked it out of the park at the competition at the Chicago Cultural Center, earning a trophy for our school for runner-up for presentation for the whole city, come to the office and take a gander!

Primary Achievements!

Happiness is...finishing our first chapter book together!  Great job, first grade!

Kindergarten is working their way through Curious George College!  Thanks to the 8th graders who took dictation for our "dissertations"!

And finally, congrats to all the primary students on all their lost teeth.  You are keeping the Tooth Fairy in business.  Way to go.
